Otherwise known as the hydrosphere. Our planet surface is comprised of over 70% of the stuff.  Much of this water is stored in the form of snow and ice at the poles this is referred to as the cryosphere.  This website uses satellite imagery from NASA and GIS (geographic information systems) to allow you to explore the impact the cryosphere has on the Earth.
