The number of
geospatial jobs is growing. They are as varied as are the aspects of
our communities. They are pervasive, as geography is everywhere and
thinking geographically is at their foundation. In addition, they
employ the use of science, mathematics, communications, technology, and
other social studies skills. There are few if any occupations where
geospatial tools and processes would not have a positive impact. These
geospatial tools and processes are becoming part of the pantheon of
core technologies like word processing, spreadsheets, and multimedia.
Below are several Web sites that will help communicate the reach and
application of GIS and related technologies.
